Standing in front of the captives as she felt some of the eyes in the camp in her as she heard the earth ponies (Luna) question and her eyes softened for a moment before becoming cold once again. Lifting up one of her legs she went to hold down the earthy neck into the ground, in such a way that it wouldn't hurt her but would stop her from being able to move.
"Why do they think themself better, because they are and you would be foolish forget it." She said as she looked down at the earth pony.
As Caddie's and the Seventh Knight's climax came to an abrupt end short after the bone adorned WU smashed his wing against a tree no less, Robin felt a presence near to him again. He shifted his eyes but not his head in Cebrian's direction. So, the pull of curiousity was too strong for him huh? 'See what you're missing? That could be you out there getting battered,' the thought caused a smile to curl at the corners of his mouth as his eyes fell back to Caddie and his obvious dissapointment of having his 'playtime' cut short by the Fifth Knight.
"That WU....Is an utter disgrace. I do believe he's three dogs short of a hunting pack..."
Robin's ear flicked in Cebrian's direction but he said nothing and kept his words to himself. Caddie was quite mad but he was leathal, (not like the Seventh Knight, he was in a class all of his own), but still a force to be reckoned with. That was all that really mattered to Robin really, hell, Caddie could of been a unicorn or a purr pony and still his opinion would of remained the same.
"Still. Better to be WU and mad than no WU at all..."
This got Robin's attention though. He frowned and finally stared at Cebrian, "and who pray tell was that comment aimed for?"
Cebrian's eyes slid towards Robin before his head turned to follow and he arched both brows, all innocence. Right.
"Dear Robin," he said smoothly, giving his scarred, lopsided smirk. "All those chained up underbreeds and the broodmares there." He indicated Angela as she continued to give blankets to the slaves. "And there." Now he nodded at Vincenza. And Suzaku, of course, but he dare not say it, nor indicate the white stallion.
He ran his eyes over Robin in a deliberate slow appraisal and went on.
"Surely you don't think I was directing it at you, Robin, for you are WU, are you not?" A long, deliberate pause, then a silky echo; "Are you not?"
((...I am enjoying this guy far too much.
Dirt and chains again, Luna suddenly found herself on her side, her head pinned down as the pony, she had so foolishly let herself trust, snarled down at her, and her brethren wonder why she has a hard time trusting others. It's because every time she does, stuff like this happens. Two-toned eyes full of darkness and cold bitter hate locked on the pegasus.
The position the mare held her in wasn't ideal, but it did grant her legs enough freedom, if only just. The chains ground hard as she kicked out, striking for the natural paint's closest supporting leg. The force of the kick was questionable, but if nothing else it would definitely leave a bruise.
Robin bit his tongue when Cebrian indicated whom he was referring to with his comment but the young stallion couldn't shake the feeling that the scarred stallion was trying to provoke some sort of rise out of him. He'd pointed to the two knights the unicorn and pegasus mare, and Robin felt himself bristle. They deserved just as much respect as he did and the pure blood WU.
As Cebrian's uncomfortable smooth voice stroked at Robin's nerves, and his eyes traced about his body, the stallion forced himself to speak. "I am a WU," he said stiffly. "But pegasi and unicorns have vertues too otherwise they would not be amongst these ranks," he finally brought himself to say.
((Cebrian is ebilly awesome Kitty I'm going to enjoy grating Robin's personality against his! I'm off to bed now, I'll look forward to where this is going to lead! ))
Holding the ponies head down she lowered her head to the earth ponies ear in a threatening manner as she whispered her sad warning softly in earth ponies ear (Luna) as she felt the earth pony kick hit her leg. "The ponies of the royal breed are superior to all others, all ponies from other lines are useless to them. So it has been, so it will be. Pray to your gods that your fate is a kind one."
Lifting up the leg that was holding her down into the ground as she looked down toward the earth pony. "And if I ever hear you insulting you superiors I will crush you. Why I should withhold our food but order are order. You would be thankful we don't let you starve." she said threateningly for show so that the other wouldn't question her.
Another bleeding heart. Where did they all come from? He'd grown up believing every WU was superior and believing every WU thought the same. Certainly, his entire family had. It was a honor to be a WU serving under the Emporer and here these sympathises went on and on about lesser breeds as though they were on the same hoofing.
And his line stretched back so far in pure WU blood, that the halfbreed Pegasus and Unicorn who sometime back must have sired the first WU in it were completely lost to memory and record. Indeed, they probably would have been scratched from any family tree were they discovered there.
Cebrian let out a dismissive, snorting "Hmph!" of disbelief through his nose.
"Foal-baring hips, maybe," he said, eyeing one then the other. "I suppose that's some kind of virtue..."
His interest was piqued a little when the first broodmare (Angela) responded swiftly and a little violently to the slave-mare's (Luna) question. Had she been WU, Cebrian may have felt a little respect.
But she wasn't. And so he didn't.
((ETA: Thanks, Cosmic. I look forward to it too! And then edited again because... I put the first edit in the MIDDLE of the post.
Luna got up slowly, warily watching the pegasus (Angela) as she moved away. She should have stayed quiet, she really should have, but the longer she was bound the harder she would fight, and thus she was not silent.
"Hard to pray." she whispered. The pale mare didn't have to elaborate, her meaning was simple, she didn't believe in gods.
Luna looked away as the pegasus shot her a warning. Again why didn't she hold her tongue?
"I'll insult every single tick bitten pelt in this ice covered camp if it'll end this!" She lifted her hind leg again, chains rattling. "One way or another!"
Was she serrious? Was she willing to die if only her death would get her out of the chains? Honestly...yes.
((Just thought I'd say I'm loving every ones' characters. I'm sorry if Luna's causing a bit of a ruckus, she just doesn't do captivity. ))
Vincenza watched in the bacground grinning. When she heard the crack of bone any pony near by could almost see the tears and pain in her eyes though it wasn't for the pain of the pony. She continued to watch and had seen Cebrian come back to watch the fray. But when the mare Christine stopped the fight she frowned. "no one for me i guess..." she mumbled to herself.
"Still. Better to be WU and mad than no WU at all..." her ears perked towards Cebrian as he said this and her eyes turned dark as a smirk appeared. /is that so/ she was about to reply when Robin spoke up. That's when she saw Cebrian nodded to herself with his next comment her smirk turned into a malicious smile.
Fluffing her fine fur and straightening her face she trotted over to The boys (Cebrian and Robin) and brushd herself between them. Her tail flicked a bit and she stood as tall as her short stature would allow. "ooh Cebrian i had seen you beckon! And of course i over heard what you said. Thank you for the compliment! I didn't know you would be so interested!"
Her face was crocked in a smile and her thick feminine voice sung. Her eyes were serious though showed something unknown beneath. She nudged her body up against his and continued "besides... I -birth- WU's. If it weren't for me..." there was a hint if something in her voice, play? Pride? Vicious stabbing? No one but Vinny herself could be sure. Her gaze was looking up at Cebrian himself as she exaggeratedly bashed her eyes.
Magic: Rank 1 Wind
Physical Combat: Rank 1
Items: A light yellow ribbon timidly perched on her tail.
Bio: She is Hourglass' eldest daughter, though the pirate will not admit it. Metronome was born with a harsh stutter, which prevents her from talking often at all.
Metronome, despite being an adult, has a slender-foal like frame and is quite a bit smaller than most average adult ponies. Because of her fragility, she was left behind on an island by her mother. Hourglass denies any existence of Metronome, and takes the most pride in her darker-hued offspring.
They had to use chains the size for a foal to chain her up, and they were so cold. It was no help that the air around her seemed to be biting at her hide, more or less that the prisonkeepers were literally nipping at everyone. She tried to hide behind the chanfron she was so tediously shining, but the struggles of the other prisoners only upset her into a distracted spiral, and even further disturbed her when a duel broke out between a couple others. "S-s-stop..." She struggled to mutter when an earthpony mare (Luna) was slammed into the ground. A weak and pitiful tear fell from her eye and promptly landed on the armor that she was polishing. She heard it metalically patter onto the hard surface and hastily tried to wipe the salty drop away, despite her tear-dressed vision, praying that the armored guards were too busy to notice that she may have potentially just tainted the artificial shells they so proudly wore. Metronome was only half of what they were; who would want a unicorn tear on the protector of the wings?
((What's this? Metronome and Hourglass on the same island!? I need to get a character account. :P))
Cebrian nearly had an apoplectic fit. Indeed, electricity sparked across his frame, like static, and he jumped away. Wings mantled, he turned to face the offensive Unicorn, dipping his head and glaring at her along the impressive length of his horn. (Not that size matters, of course.) His ears were pressed flat against his skull and his eyes narrowed to thin, bright slits.
"Beckon...?! Compliment...?! Interested...?!" he sputtered, unable to make his brain form coherant sentances, so incensed was he.
He just stood that way, huffing and blowing like an angry, wounded bull, forelegs splayed, upperbody lowered, wings mantled and rattling. It was like watching a steam kettle slowly build up to an inevitible explosion.
Vincenza would have been wise to get out that moment.
"How dearly I wish for my lash, my precious little halfbreed," Cebrian purred through his teeth, voice returned to its smooth, cajouling tone despite his clear irritation. "But as I've been disalowed it at present, you shall have to settle for this one."
He snapped his teeth together and electricity sparked out from them, rolling down into the form of a whip that trailed into the snow and coiled by his white forehooves. He cocked his head, clearly ready to flick the weapon at her.
As Christine finished her interception of the fight between Caddie and Suzaku, her gaze drifted to the snowy ground. Suzaku's cold shoulder was felt quite literally as her armor suddenly felt colder in the air, her hairs pricking up with a shiver. The fifth knight shifted her weight and let her yellow cape fall over her body. All the memories came flooding back and she had to remember that he meant well, and he was suffering like she was (or more, but she would refuse that to be true).
The white WU took a minute to gather herself, standing on her own facing the snow rather than the other ponies. But her reverie was interrupted by more commotion with the prisoners. Christine was going to follow Caddie back to their part of camp, see to it that he was healed up okay and stayed out of trouble. If she ever settled down, if she ever let herself, she would be good with foals it was certain. But now Caddie would have to wait.
Christine reset her expression to one of authority as she made her way over to Angela, Luna and the commotion that they were causing. Angela wasn't one of her troops, so the mare was careful about what she said. "What's going on here?" A wing trying to come between the pegasus and the earth pony. "The prisoners are fine, well guarded for now." Christine then grated her teeth a little as it seemed more tension was brewing between Suzaku's own ranks. And if Suzaku had been more level headed perhaps he would have kept them in line with respect, but now she would never know because he couldn't control it yet. It was an immense power that she couldn't understand, but he would have to learn to control it; for his safety as well as for others.
Christine couldn't put out all the fires, and she couldn't protect everyone. That was her downfall after all, her fatal flaw. Learning which battles to pick and choose was something she dealt with everyday, and it was clear that if these ponies wanted to spar and rip each other apart, then they would. The innocent parties are who she watched for, and that is why she remained by the prisoners. These spoiled and headstrong soldiers were responsible for bloodshed and violence, if they wished that to be their fate as well she wouldn't argue against it. Those that wished to kill needed to be prepared to face the consequences, even if it meant their own life. So the fifth knight simply watched what would unfold between Vincenza and Cebrian, deciding only to involve herself if it was completely necessary.
ETA: Christine's bio is up! Reaaad iiiiit, here!
Vincenza had chills sent down her body when she felt Cebrian had such a reaction. Swooning a bit when he jumped away a wicked grin lashed across her face. When he started speaking her body language spewed of fake hurt innocence. To any pony who hadn't seen her grin nor could recognize the glint in her eyes wouldn't know the difference.
"oh... you weren't?" Vincenza acted as if she was about to cry but her face and posture suddenly contorted to a proud stance. Something seemed off about it though, she was standing tall though her legs were poised in a way where she almost looked more sturdy.
"Hmph" She stuck her nose in the air and tilted it away from him leaving her eye partially open to see him in a smug sort of way "I wouldn't have liked your company anyways sugar. Or sour. Or... well. That aside... Darling. I would never date a coward such as yourself. I mean, a challenge is a challenge. I'd say you're three dogs short of, oh what was it? A pack." She smirked only slightly, maybe enough even for Cebrian to notice but only a flash. A gleamed rolled through her eyes and the smirk faded as quickly as it appeared into the smug look.
(Vinny used MIMIC and therefore used TAUNT, was it effective??)
The benefit of his magic whip over the physical one he'd first learned with was that Cebrian could speak without dropping it. He hissed.
"What others call cowardice I call prudence. See, Caddie had his wing snapped, and there is no benefit in that, especially since we have a proper battle to front up to."
He twisted his head the other way, the whip hissing across the snow and melting it a little.
"However, I shouldn't break more than a slight sweat putting you in your place, halfbreed."
His head jerked, teeth tight once more, and the sparking whip now snapped out with a furious hiss and the smell of burnt ozone. He aimed it at her forelegs, trying to have it wrap around them, thus delivering a shock and imobilising her forelegs if it worked.
"Oh shucks, and I thought you saw it my way. You didn't have to go and -die- fighting him or injured. Though..." Vincenza let her thoughts wander into that before she snapped out of it and not a moment too soon. She was right to hold the awkward stance she did and jumped up. Her sturdy half battle ready stance served her well in these times. She let her day dreams take her too long away when she noticed she was almost too late. The whip managed to graze her sending jolts through her body.
She landed, barely though she righted herself quick enough to look planned. Panting slightly Vincenza grinned smugly towards Cebrian and took a battle ready stance though different then most. Her back legs seemed more close together and centered on her body not showing a direction to which they would lead her body. they were bent and poised with the front legs which had one stretched forward and the other stretched back. She had enough practice to have great balance while in this position.
"Besides, I am full bred unicorn unlike. *Ahem* some ponies I know who were created by... " she continued in reply to his last statement though leaving the end cut off as to let his own mind think of anything she could put there. "And of course.." she almost went into a baby talk. With her thick heavy voice it seemed like a different accent all together. "I never wanted to fight! I mean my goodness. We are all on the same team."
Her eyes flashed with play and a smirk tested her lips as her voice turned to a purr "You must have great interest if you have been fixated on me this whole time. Mean little boys pick on girls when they like them...." Her tail flicked to cause her fur to flow across her flank. An attempt to distract? or maybe even a way to make anyone's eyes wander.
Could she be. Any more irritating?
The two-tone WU was gratified when his whip made connection, even if it was only light. He drew back for another strike, shifting his weight minutely as he watched her.
"You. Wish. I was interested," he growled lowly, eyes studying her carefully. "But I don't dally with halfbreeds."
Quite suddenly, he unfurled his wings and a single huge beat lifted him with great effort off the snow, sending eddies of the white crystals up around his feet. Another beat had him completely in the air, and now he hovered over her. Now the entire strength of his body was behind the next crack of the whip, aimed to land directly along her spine.
Vincenza grinned keeping her awkward battle stance and watched him as he watched herself. (As others watched on watching them watch each other watch the other watching them? |D) She snorted as Cebrian made the comment. "Hmph, no use arguing with and obvious idiot. they only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience." Her grin was malicious, she new something was coming when he began to flap his wings. Her eyes showed the fire built up inside.
She watched wary as he flew into the air. when he reached above her she tensed but when she saw that spilt second of the pull back for the whip to spike toward her she un-sprung her hind legs and pushed back with the foreleg closest to her hind making sure she had full force to jump back behind him. The whip coming very close to her face, sparks hopped from the whip to her nose and the heat singed some fur. It was a risky way to move but she needed the advantage.
In an instant (and no regard to others around herself) her shoulders glowed then burst into flames which instantly, from surrounding her body, formed into bright fire blue wings. She then flung her wings forwards projecting fire towards her target (Cebrian) hoping with her maneuvering she would still have him unawares.
Cebrian was definitely caught unawares, to say the least. He had not expected that level of magic from what he percieved little more than a servant. He was so surprised, in fact, that he lost concentration on his whip and it sparked out of being.
However, he was a warrior and so his reflexes saved him. He tucked his wings in and dropped, just barely missing the ball of flame. Indeed, it singed the tips of his carefully-trimmed mohawk and the ends of his longest pinions.
He landed in the snow with a wet whump, but almost immediately leapt to his feet, and now he drove straight at her, head lowered and horn aimed to gouge her shoulder.
After she pulled her makeshift wings back Vincenza looked on to see if she got her attacker. Hearing the *whump* of his body hitting the snowy ground she turned her gaze to see Cebrian righting himself. Within a split second of seeing him charge she made the choice to jump. For being small she had a pretty high jump, but with his charge being so soon and her not being prepared he had snagged her back leg causing a gash across it. In turn with the jump her wing had been pushed down possibly burning her asailaint badly depending how long he stay within the flames.
Expanding her wings she glided around and landed hard on the ground causig her to limp once then stand at the ready, her usual sure fire stance. She was ready again for whatever he could throw at her, training kept her from cringing in pain as blood stainted her orange fur.
Cebrian growled and was about to turn about and run at her again when his nose twitched. What was that smell? It was a sort of smokey... heated smell. A sort of...
He was on fire!
To be exact, his mohawk was on fire, he realised when he looked up. His face became a picture of horror and for a moment, he just stood there. Then his mind kicked in again and he swiftly dunked his head in the snow with a hiss of steam. Ordinarily, this would have sent him into a towering rage and he would have attacked her all the harder, however, the snow seemed to have cooled his head both figuratively and literally.
Besides, he was hungry.
Very regally, he folded his wings and lifted his head, pretending none of that had just happened.
"Touch me again, and I'll kill you," he warned the silly female. "And you won't be so lucky."
He turned his white rump to her and trotted off, following his nose to see if he could find any food.
Vincenza had to stifle a laugh to keep her stance when she saw Cebrian's mane on fire and what proceeded afterwards as he dunked it in the snow itself. As soon as he lifted his head her body tensed again ready for a charge.
"Touch me again, and I'll kill you, And you won't be so lucky."
She watched him as he trotted away. She relaxed her stand and stood up straight letting her wings fizzle out the proceeded to fluff herself to straighten her fur that had gotten tusled. By now the gash in her foot has numbed through excitement and pain and has closed up slightly from the blood.
"And i had fun fighting you, a good warrior" she spoke softly to herself, "though i can assure you that you are to much fun to let be.." with this she trotted off toward the prisoners looking to see if there was anything to do. If anyone looked close enough there was a very small limp from the wound on her lower back leg. A brightly colored uni (Metronome) caught her eye as she gazed through the prisoners.
Trotting over she plopped herself down right in front of the mare and grinned. She didn't intend on saying anything but just sit and have her be the object of her attention. Maybe it was the fact she was a uni? Or was it the bright colors. Even Vincenza wasn't sure but there she was, plopped down in front of the mare and thinking... Or plotting perhaps?
(edited for grammar issues |D! Well. Off to bed!! Be up in 7 hrs lol)
Caddie pouted and weighed up his options. Actually, there wasn't that much to weigh up. Miss Fifth Knight had told him to go back to camp to get fixed up. But he didn't need to get fixed up, it was just a scratch (if you could call a non-functioning wing dragging on the floor a scratch). But Miss Fifth Knight was his boss, so he had to do as he was told or she wouldn't be happy with him. So he pouted some more and slunk off back to camp, hoping to get the chance to play some more later.
[You saw nothing]
It was like talking to a rock, or a stone or a wall, or a, a stone wall, yes that sounded about right. There was no way Cebrian was going to see it any other way. It was born into him, a part of his upbringing. As he had been raised by Purebloods, Robin had been raised by what Cebrian would called underbreeds. There were a proud folk and as a result, Robin was proud of his upbringing and breeding. If it weren't for his grandparents saving him from being abandoned by thier treacherous child, he'd probably be dead because his mother had lived on the outskirts of 'civilisation' as his grandparents had put it.
Robin gritted his teeth as Cebrian pointed out that the only virtues the underbreeds had were child bearing hips. If he'd said that about his pegasus grandmother he would've taken Cebrian by the throat and choked an apology out of him. Thankfully Vincenza pushed herself between them at that point and Robin revelled in the stuttering horror that Cebrian let out at the unicorn mare's words. Indeed he hid his glee behind a wing as Vincenza contined to irk him to a point when the stallion decided to use violence to put her in her place. It was a brilliant fight ended when the mare's fiery wings caught fire to Cebrian's mohawk. As the singed stallion trotted out of earshot Robin let out a gutteral laugh. Robin wasn't one to laugh much at anything but seeing Cebrian being put into place by what he saw as an underbreed was a rarity and the crossbreed couldn't keep the mirth from his throat.
Robin finally walked through the slaves passing closer to Vincenza as he did so. "Nice one my dear," he uttered with a small smile. He looked across and saw a dark kirin stallion slave sitting on the armour, he frowned and briefly marched over. "What is this? A show?! No!" He kicked out a front hoof to knock the armour from beneath the kirin. "You're meant to be polishing it! And not with your rump I may add!" he barked with a glare.
Darya only turned her attention to Vincenza a moment, she would tolerate her in their ranks only so far. But thankfully, a brawl had started to spare her the need to reply to the sarcastic unicorn. Darya had quickly backed out of the way, from both the fighters and Vincenza but was waved aside by her commander (Christine).
"Yes commander, I'll get right on it."
Of course, she'd had to dodge half the fight to get back to the fire by Isolde. At least it was warmer over here. "Isolde, Commander Christine requested us to check on the prisoners and for you to heal any wounds they may have suffered." She turned her head to see her leader driving a paint Pegasus (Angela) away from the prisoners. Particularly from the rowdy one (Luna) causing trouble.
"Mayhaps we shall help with the food and blankets as well. Assist me?"
((I thought I was going to have the whole afternoon to myself to do this. Of course not. I'm making the assumption that those under the same knight will know each other already.))
Stepping back as Christine came in between her and the earth pony (Luna) as she used one of her wings to block her from the other mare. "Nothing Dame, just reminding her of her place." said Angela as she tried to keep the act up while hoping that the earth ponie got her warning, thought from how the mare was acting she would guess not. She now remembered the nickname for this knight and know that the prisioners would be safe under her watch, now she just had to watch out for her own flank.
Taking a breath she looked up into Christine eyes as she asked, "Permition to leave your presence Dame, Knight Suzaku has ordered that they be given a warm meal and I have yet to get it for them. Unless you would like to cancel his orders?"
((OOC: Thanks for getting it up DP, hopefully this will get Angela to be more agreeable towards Christine.))
Allegiance: Imperial Empire
Physical Combat: Rank 1
Profession(s): Cook, Herbologist
Items: A frilly, pale blue apron and her kitchen supplies.
Bio: All beauty, and very little brains. Nalani's parents, well-respected scholars, had great hopes for their angelic baby girl. But as she grew older they realized she wouldn't be attending their lectures anytime soon. She's not exactly dysfunctional, but she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer either. In spite of this, she has incredible taste when it comes to cooking and has a knack for picking and identifying the perfect herbs by their scent alone.
Oblivious to all the fighting, Nalani bustled about outside her tent. She hummed a cheerful tune while she flitted from pot to pot, gingerly sniffing each one and meticulously adding ingredients with a focus she displayed...absolutely nowhere else but in the kitchen.
It was like being on the Emperor's most prestigious stage to her, and nowhere did she feel more appreciated than here; plenty of Imperial soldiers waited just far enough away, watching her with rumbling, expectant stomachs. The smells were just so tantalizing. That, and it was practically a show with how the cook would twirl and prance around her makeshift kitchen, throwing in a dash of spice here, or tossing an herb neatly there.
"Just a little longer, darlings~!" she singsonged to those watching, earning some applause and hoots from those who'd stopped gawking at the fighting not too far away.
Cebrian's nose had lead him to the show as well and he set his rump down in the snow, sitting to watch Nalani preparing the foods she was getting ready to serve. His was one of the many grumbling bellies.
He didn't pay any attention to what else was going on around him, or he might have heard Robin laughing or noted the red WU's comment to Vincenza. Of course, had anyone asked him, he'd tell them he'd chosen to end the fight when it had ended, not been driven to it by the flames of his oponent.
Which he had, of course, filed away in his memory, should he ever come up against the irritating underbreed ever again. He would not be taken by surprise again.
((Blah post is blah. I gotta get to work. Prolly won't be back til most of you dumplings is in bed. So... sleep well! *trundles off*
Right, no need to get so angry... these ponies were trained to put the prisoners "in their place". Christine's face softened as Angela replied, she nodded her head in a bit of an apology, though she still wasn't happy with putting ANYONE in their place. Well, except for the rowdy soldiers. "Whatever Sir Suzaku asked of you is your top priority, please continue what you were doing." Christine bowed her head slightly, dismissing the mare.
The bright flash of flame from Vincenza pulled Christine's attention quickly back to the fight that had now really gotten out of control. But it appeared they weren't as foolish as it seemed, as they fight stopped moments later. The fifth knight sighed and shifted her weight in the snow, agitated. Her ear twitched as she saw Caddie moping off. That was what she was doing, making sure he was okay.
Christine sidled up beside Caddie and smiled at him, keeping with his stride. "How is your wing?" Her golden eyes scanned his body for other possible injuries, while trying to keep a level expression. "You really shouldn't challenge a higher officer like that, especially not Sir Suzaku." The fifth knight's ears pricked up as she said this, where had Suzaku gone? And more importantly, was his temper making him do something stupid?
"Wait here a minute, if you will." Christine touched Caddie's side with her wing, "I need to check on something."
The knight's cape billowed as she made her way to Suzaku's tent. Was the wind picking up, or was she just anticipating what she might find? The tent was far enough where the two could technically be alone, just as Christine wanted. Once she reached the flap of the tent, Christine's muscles relaxed and her face changed almost entirely. The look of strength, beauty, and leadership she had held turned into a look of tired sadness and concern. It made Christine appear older, and like she had been beaten down. The white WU's voice matched her expression; it was soft and tired. "Suzaku, please. I know this is hard but," Christine paused, trying to find the right words. "I'm worried about you, and this whole mission." Her golden eyes, staring at the ground, traced their way up the slight opening of the tent and waited patiently for whatever would come.
((So I was stuck for four hours in an airport today, thus my lapse of time before posting, I apologize!))
Caddie looked up as Christine came up beside him to accompany him to the camp. "Oh, this is nothing," he said as she asked about his wing, "I have had worse." She then scolded him about challenging Suzaku, "But Mr. Seventh Knight offered," he informed Christine, slightly indignantly but with no offense meant, "And I am certainly not one to turn down a good fight. Plus, it's been soo loooong since since I was in the gladiator ring, I do miss it so." With a flick of his tail, he came to a stop as Christine went to find Suzaku.
