"I. Um. T-that is, uh... um.. I'm n-not very g-good with m-mares...so.. uh.. um.."
Now the youngster was puzzled. Her eyebrows furrowed, amethyst eyes looked up to Dietrich, having to sit her rump down to actually look straight up, so she could see his now blushing face. "Whaddya mean? You're the biggest pony I've ever met, and you're strong, you're nice, you have big wings," the filly counted out what she deemed as good qualities. She stuck a hoof up towards the grey stallion. "You need a marefriend. I will find you one."
That's when she caught the supermare(Herainim) blowing raspberries at her. Oh it is ON.
She stuck her purple black tongue out at the fiery winged mare in the silver supermare outfit, and chuckled to herself. "I like her. D'ya know her? She's pretty. Come on, look at her, she's pretty!" She flailed about to catch Dietrich's attention, hopping onto her hind legs and flailing her wings and forelegs about. "She will surely like you back if you'd just go talk to her!"
Kali scurried behind one of the forehooves of Dietrich, and attempted to push him. Of course, this was a great failure, as Kali was tiny, and Dietrich.. was so not. Flopping back with a disappointed sigh, Kali flopped her black rump onto the snow, pouting. Well she had to do -something-, Dietrich really was her friend, and friends meant allies, and strong allies was always a good thing! That's what she was taught. Aside from the whole "keep your friends close, your enemies closer" thing. That wasn't needed for now.
"It sounds lovely....You were lucky to have a place like that."
Rose smiled across at Aharon as the memory filled her mind and temporarily put her ill thoughts at ease. "I guess I was actually, if any Imperials had ever found it I suspect they would of burnt it to the ground if they knew it belonged to what they called a lesser breed," she added somewhat bitterly. She sighed once more, that small orchard had been her secret place. One day she hoped she could see it again. "I miss it so very much," Rose breathed. "I haven't seen it since my-," she abruptly stopped, stemming the words she was about to say before they fell from her tongue unchecked. "I mean, since I joined Zero's forces."
It was then (thankfully) for the unicorn mare that Fred crashed nearby and offered up some pinecones. Rose gave a small smile at the dragon's statement and nodded in agreement. "Absolutely, you and nuts are completely different." She regarded the pinecones and tilted her head to one side. "My you gathered quite a few there," Rose commented.
"Fred got nuts for you! Just takes bit of roastin', then make good numnums."
"Actually yes, those will be delicious if they're heated up. The fire will make the pinecones open and let the seeds fall out," she looked briefly up at Kalom. "What do you think? Will pine nuts do for you?" Rose then glanced back up at the big stallion. "Thank you so much Fred, these will be simply wonderful!" The mare had finally gotten her mind away from the foreboding feeling that had slowly been welling up in her breast.
Capricorn and Rat had finished eating and the former had returned the bowl to Amaryllis while the latter remained perched atop his antlers, keeping out of the way of the brightly coloured dragon.
He turned away from the food cart in time to hear Rose talk about her special garden. He hesitated a moment, then trotted over and opened his mouth to offer up his favourite place in a quiet, secret corner of his Father's massive gardens, but something dropped out of the sky and the far from brave and warlike Deer gave a girlish squeak and jumped back. Rat ended up dangling by one paw from an antler prong, squeaking in indignation.
Then Capricorn realised it was Fred and he flushed in embarrassment, causing his green coat to go an odd sort of brownish colour. He cleared his throat and Rat clambered back up to his previous position.
"Fred," he said. "Hello. It looks like you have been busy."
Rose mentioned the pinecones could be roasted and Capricorn tilted his head curiously.
"I'd no idea you could eat things from a pinecone..." he said.
It was only after that Benji had plowed his way through the snow that he realised the high pitched squeal of Dietrich's name belonged to a pint sized filly mare (Kali) who was now asking the giant WU if he had a 'marefriend'. Now, Benji knew that this was only innocent talk from a sweet little youngster very much like his baby sister Becky but still he felt his feathers fluff out involuntarily. 'Stop that! Don't be stupid!' he inwardly berrated himself. He shook his head to clear it and half scampered, half waded through the snow toward the pair, the jingle bell around his neck muffled by the snow as he awkwardly loped forward.
"Dietrich!" he smiled up at his big friend, pushing down the previous feeling which lodged in his chest and throbbed tensely. "I'd wondered where you'd got too!" His eyes fell to Kali and her blinked as if her hadn't seen her until that very moment. "Oh! Whose your new friend?" he smiled at the little filly.
((EDIT to add missing word))
Fred's arrival had startled Aharon and he was almost went to bolt. Thankfully, he had only twitched so it wasn't that noticable. "Ooh," he said as he saw Fred's spoils, "I don't think I've ever had roasted pine nuts before."
An ear swivelled round towards Capricorn as he heard his comment, "Oh, you can eat anything if you're hungry enough."
Smiling as Rose Blood talked about her safe place she nodded her head as she tried to picture that what Rose Blood was saying before she asked if they had any safe places like her own themselfs.
"I personally have alway felt saftest in the skyyaa...." her answer was cut off as Fred dropped down from one of the trees with a pile of pinecones in front of them as she jumped into the air a bit. Taking a breath as Rose Blood looked over the pinecones and mentioned that they could get the seeds out of them as her face started to get a bit of color back at the idea of some food that wouldn't upset her stomach.
Opening her mouth to comment she as cut off by Capricorn as he commented that he hadn't know you could eat them. "I am with Capricorn, I didn't know you could eat them but at long it isn't any type of meat I would be happy to try them." Kalom said as she looked at the cones.
Rose suddenly looked up as Capricorn let out his girlish shriek and tried to keep the amusement from her face save for embarrassing the poor stallion.
"I'd no idea you could eat things from a pinecone..."
"I am with Capricorn, I didn't know you could eat them but at long it isn't any type of meat I would be happy to try them."
"Oh, yes! The cones themselves protect the seeds until it is ready for them to open and they do so when it's warm but you can help the process along by encouraging them to open in a hot fire." Rose suddenly came alive when her knowledge of plant and the alike became something that she could share with her new companions. Nothing made her happier when she was recalling her knowledge of herbology. "Pine nuts can be quite tasty when their roasted actually," Rose added to Kalom's and Aharon's comment. "It shouldn't really upset your stomach," she said with a smile.
Rose looked back at Aharon when he mentioned you could eat anything if you were hungry enough and a light chuckled thrummed in her throat for a moment. "Yes, I suppose you're right Aharon!"
"You need a marefriend. I will find you one."
All the color previously in Dietrich's face bleached out just like that. He made small stutters of surprise as he struggled for words and took a few shaky steps forward when pushed.
"U..uhm..y-yes, she's v-very n-nice b-b-but um... she's n..not.. my..t-type?" he stammered, finishing lamely. Herainim intimidated him more than mares usually did, because she was a mare AND tough as nails.
But then.. distraction!
"Ah! Benji!" he said, relief flooding into his features. "This is Kali," he replied, looking down at the filly. "I m-met her on the ship."
Fred beamed at Rose Blood as she acknowledged his gathering genius. He was almost equally pleased to see the Shiny Reindeer greeting him and leaned to try and lick Capricorn's cheek.
"Smart lady!" he said to Rose Blood afterward. "Ponies look at Fred like I's crazy, but I's knows better. Here, Fred help you."
He put the armor on the ground a little ways away from the other ponies, inhaled deeply, and spit a surprisingly steady firestream under the armor. In no time, the cones were making popping noises and expelling the seeds for easy access.
"There, that better! Eat and feels better, Ghostie," he said, glancing at Kalom.
Capricorn was about to reply to this new information about the pine seeds when his mind flatlined and only expelled;
His blue eyes wide, Capricorn stared at Fred while Rat made a sound that sounded suspiciously like laughter. Surprisingly, however, the usually vain and uncaring Stag didn't want to hurt Fred's feelings so he gave a weak smile and waited until the dragon's back was turned to rub his cheek dry against his shoulder.
To his amazement, Fred roasted the pinecones for them.
"Yes," he agreed when the dragon spoke to Kalom (at least he assumed that was "Ghostie"). "You should eat first."
((Edited for failure of the bolding kind.
Hourglass noticed Emrys was flicking back and forth between keeping up a slow conversation with her, and skimming over his notes. Hourglass felt a strange, hot rush run into her cheeks as she stared blankly at the squiggle-stricken parchment before the slim colt. What did the markings mean? The only letters Hourglass new how to read were the N, E, S, W of a compass, and X marks the spot. At this point she felt almost as much of an internal panic as Dietrich was displaying, which she found was enough of a distraction to distance herself from Emrys and his too-good literacy. She slunk away, only stammering out a short "Uhh-" and stumbling over her own hooves in haste.
Now with the new push of embarrassment hammering at her stability, Hourglass was walking even more awkwardly than before, her legs wobblier than a lamb's. She managed to propel herself towards Benji, a little too fast. Her stripy legs gave way and her front end fell forward just a foot shy of the two stallions (Benji, Dietrich) and mare (Kali). In a humiliating milisecond, she was back on her hooves, the prominent blush from before now fading from her face.
"How do ye do it, tharr's nothin' to flow wit'!" She kicked a back leg at the snowy ground, "Dang harder than ice..."
Hourglass raised her furrowed gaze to Dietrich and Kali, mumbling something unintelligible while Dietrich tried to pull Kali's determination off track. She huffed at the word 'marefriend,' "Ye're a might bit o' a storm, aren't ye, lass? Tossin' the ship where 'e don' need ta be!" She gestured to Herainim, "Don' ye know a thin' abou' redcoat o'er tharr?"
((Heading to bed now, see you guys tomorrow! ))
Without realizing it Art found herself following the unstable unicorn (Hourglass). The white kirin's own strides not so fluid, due to her oddly sculpted hooves. She was still curious about this strange mare, who's unique accent had triggered one of her...flashbacks? Halucinations? Well whatever the vision was she was still drawn to the mare, though she hardly knew what to say, and so just stood a bit off to the side listening. That is if she dared to trust her senses.
"U..uhm..y-yes, she's v-very n-nice b-b-but um... she's n..not.. my..t-type?"
"Not your type? Are you into other breeds?" confusion overwhelmed the filly like nothing else. Why, Dietrich was more enigmatic than her sire! This was obscene! "Then what is your type? You don't like red or somefin? Red is a nice color, royal color of blood, my ma said to me. Ofcourse not everyone bleeds the same, I know that," she smiled a wide, somewhat creepy but sincere smile towards the grey stallion, who had flushed pale.
He had no idea how bad this could be.
Thankfully, a rather sunny toned Phoenix popped by(Benji), and Kali's attention span adjusted to fixate upon the new stallion. "Hi! I'm Maha Kali, but everybody calls me Kali," she introduced herself, her tail waggling about like a puppy again. She greeted the stallion with one small wing-salute - it couldn't have been any bigger, considering her wings were small, like herself- and crept closer, looking up. "Your name's Benji? That's a pretty name. I like your stuffs," she prodded at the outfit of the Phoenix. "My mama loved these kinda stuffs. Too bad she didn't have a decent mass to wear it. It made her very sad."
"Ye're a might bit o' a storm, aren't ye, lass? Tossin' the ship where 'e don' need ta be! Don' ye know a thin' abou' redcoat o'er tharr?"
"All I'z know is that she's pretty, and carries the firey red coat," Kali shrugged off the funny voice mare(Hourglass). No no, she wouldn't do, her accent was all over the place and Kali barely understood a word. Definitely not for Dietrich! She smiled nontheless. "Sometimes you make your own winds to carry your ship, but I think you know better than I would! I'm just a filly, after all!" She trotted to the side, then lowered her torso down to the ground, waggling her back as she prepared to leap. A purple tongue stuck out from the edge of her mouth, one, two, three..
Kali jumped with her wings spread out wide - as wide as they could be- and attemped to land on Dietrich's back so she wouldn't have to look up to everyone to see their faces. Her neck was growing sore from all the looking up..
"All I'z know is that she's pretty, and carries the firey red coat,"
"Hah! She got a might bit more'n a pretty face, li'l miss." She looked over to Dietrich, looking him up and down. He had a stutter too... Just like her.
"S'cuse me mate, were ye born wit' tha' stutter?" Almost as soon as Hourglass got the question out, Kali made a dynamic leap for poor Dietrich's high back. "What are ye doin', silly filly?!"
"Pity they don't eat the rats," The mage responded, accepting the bowl the eye-burning dragon offered and turning on her heel, preparing to walk off, only to be distracted by yet another eye burning pony, who also had one of those strange skeletal reptiles.
"Well, they do bear a resemblance, to one another, now don't they?"
A buttercream phoenix stallion, an odd tan covering his hide, passed by the multitude, winking at any females in the vicinity. The mare met his eye for a split second, returning his flirtatious wink with an unimpressed glance.
Striding back to her resting place near the fires, the mare hesitantly dipped her beak into the bowl of...whatever it was Amaryllis had given her. It didn't taste too bad - there weren't any rats in it this time, thankfully, which was an improvement.
Forcing down the rest of the dragon's brew, Raptorix stood, a flurry of snow falling from her armor as she did so. Something brushed against her leg, and once more Zephyr scurried onto her, coming to rest between her shoulder blades. Evidently the little reptile loathed this weather about as much as she did.
A flash of red caught the phoenix's eye, and Raptorix looked over just in time to see that odd little dragon stallion, Fred, set down a piece of armor filled with pinecones. Curiosity aroused, Raptorix strolled over to the group of ponies gathered around them.
"...That actually smells rather enticing."
Although Raptorix privately thought that anything would taste better after tasting Amaryllis's food.
If you see this account on the public forums, it means my typist - Sundown - has hijacked it again. Get off my account, you darn girl!
There was clearly something stuck in her teeth, perhaps something hanging out of her nose? Did she forget to cover her flank again? Why was this tiny phoenix (Kali) STARING at her?! Oh, and now there was a whole group who seemed to be looking her over and discussing it. Herainim grimaced, looking down at her empty plate of food and back up at the group. She could go over and knock the thoughts right out of their heads, but then Zero would get angry...
Fred was always looking out for ol' Herainim. That's what she liked to believe anyway! His sudden entrance made her hop slightly, her wings fluffing out like a startled bird. Did he have... nuts? Hera couldn't help but chuckle at his talk about being called nuts. She, oddly, found that quality endearing and Fred was one of the few foreigners that she could tolerate.
Speaking of foreigners, Herainim set her bright green eyes back on the group talking about her and gave them a glare. She just dared them to talk about her more.
((Redcoat, I love it XD))
Rosemonde stopped in her tracks and ears flattened when she heard "Sparks" come out ducky's mouth. Looking down at her food she shook her head and moved forward to sit down ignoring the indecency of SOME ponies. Looking for a place to sit she had caught a glimpse of someone moving across the way.
"Ah! Raptorix!" She had seen the mare join the others along with Fred. Holding armor... and pine cones...? She shook off her confusion and trotted over to where they were and sat down where she could. Nodding towards Raptorix she smiled "Hello, and how are you? Aside from frozen to the core" She shivvered. While waiting for a reply she started sipping her... meal if that's what you could call it though she found it rather tasty.
"Zemmy! You missed all the action...."
"WHAT?!" Zemin thundered as he surged to his feet, knocking into the table and most likely spilling the contents on it on anyone on the other side. He turned on Akira, the keen edge of his blade horn flashing as he lowered it towards Akira. His usually empty brown eyes focused wholly on the nixie, malice peering up out of the dark voids of his pupils.
"There was action and you. did. not. call. ME?"
Zemmy took one aggressive step forward after another, blade and intention to kill bare for all to see. His voice was soft, his tone so bland it could have been made into rice crackers, and yet somehow the intensity of his words adequately conveyed the clear threat.
"...past the combat and terms of surrender...peace agreement...."
As the nonsensical babble of Akira's string of words sank in, Zemmy lost his going-to-kill-you look and merely looked confused. He raised his head and frowned with concentration at Akira as if he could decode the language the other pony was using if he thought about it hard enough. He quirked his head and gave Akira a "you are strange" look. He then attempted a friendly smile, his eyes as empty as un-silvered mirrors.
"There is no peace agreement," Zemmy corrected Akira with an obvious show of patience. "Only meat around here is the enemy, so--into the stew they go!"
Satisfied, Zemmy righted his bowl and ate what was left in it with obvious, vengeful zeal.
"Any developments between you and the highly enthusiastic Ducky over there?"
"Nothing has come of crossing dynamite powder with banzali root," Zemmy, misunderstanding the question. "Thinking of trying dried eyeballypopin leaves for a bit more spark."
Zemmy paused. Then, purely to be polite he said; "What do you think?"
"Only meat around here is the enemy, so--into the stew they go!"
Akira shook his head. "No, Amaryllis swore there was no rat in the soup this time. She mentioned a few other possibilities but..." Akira looked at the food Zemin had unthinkingly tossed the other way, "I do try not to question a lady's cooking. At least, not too often."
Zemin completely missed the mark in his response to the golden phoenix and Akira grinned broadly, misinterpreting in his own way. "Oh, I'm sure there will be sparks soon enough. You just have to work a little harder. Try a different angle or two. And don't forget, ladies love presents. With Ducky, I'd probably think outside the box. You probably know better than I, what would a mare of the exposive persuasion really like?"
With Angelwings, Akira knew he had to think outside the armor. Maybe a nice Imperial or two to play with. There were several choice specimens just across the divide. He just had to wait for Zero to give the order.

Magic: Rank 1 Ethereal; Wilderness Magnetism
Profession(s): Animal Tamer, Taxidermist
Items: Ulympia carries a satchel made of suede decorated with bright feathers. Inside the satchel she carries a hand-drawn geographical map, a flask of water, and some snacks. She wears a pair of animal horns, a feather clip in her tail, and feather bracelets.
Bio: Ulympia is a very happy-go-lucky pony who always appears to be full of sunshine and sparkles. She loves animals quite literally to death. She appears to have a way with animals that rivaled other trainers on the isles.
((MUAHAHAHAHA *evil laugh* this shall end very amusingly))
Ulympia finally stepped out of her tent stretching and yawning but still grinning from ear to ear. She had heard the call for food from Amaryllis but had been too engrossed in her latest work. These snowy mountains were chock full of little critters to look at and enjoy the company of. She swung the blanket that was in her cot snugly around her shoulders as the wind whistled through causing her to shudder for a moment. Without missing a beat Ulympia slapped on her typical wide mouthed smile and cheerful morning voice and trotted through the snow towards her favorite cook, pausing only momentarily to hop in the snow in a few circles giggling at the crisp -frup frup- that her hooves made in the snow. She laughed like a two-year old filly and nearly fell over in the snow about to make a snow angel pony but her tummy growled causing her to snap back into reality momentarily.
"Oh good heavens, I am hungrier than a mommy bear straight out of hibernation. Time to see what dear Amaryllis has cooked up this fine morning." With that, her grin returned and she bounded over towards Amaryllis and came to a bouncy halt next to her favorite chef in the Isles. She beamed up at her tilting her head in such a way as to appear almost like a foal that had just eaten cake.
"Good morning ma'am, may I request a bowl of that fine-smelling-home-cooked goodness? I could use a nice warming liquid in my belly today." She remained by Amaryllis's side waiting for her helping of the meal but turned her head to see what was going on around her. It appeared that ponies had found some pine cones to roast on the fire. She frowned a little and grumbled to herself 'how can they live with themselves, the little squirrels need those pinecones.....thieves....'. Suddenly her demeanor changed and she lit up like a freshly stoked fire as soon as she spotted Rat sitting on the prong of one of Capricorn's antlers. While the reindeer pony was not looking she made a kissy face and blew kisses to Rat. Drawing in her front hooves closer together sitting down near Amaryllis she could not help but make the -DAWWWW!- expression. She just wanted to pet that cute little critter so badly it made her hurt.
Obviously the others, seemed very much occupied in their discussions, and Art couldn't blame them. They all seemed to know each other, and Art...well she quite literally knew no one. It hadn't been all that long ago that the young kirin mare was rescued in a raid, and let's face it she wasn't exactly the approachable kind.
Backing away from the little group, Art moved off. A medium sized stone caught her eye and she picked it up swiftly, carrying it with her towards the fire. The slushy ground was easy on her hooves, but the ice still wore them down annoyingly fast, and she didn't have much to do any way, besides, if they were going to face the Imperials, she wanted her hooves sharp.
Settling down beside the fire, she began the meticulous process all over again. Carefully, and skilfully dragging one cloven hoof across the solid stone surface. She said nothing as she worked, stopping only occasionally to check the sharpness of the points or to turn the stone so that she may have a better angle for sculpting the desired double clawed shape.

Professions: Dancer, Physician
Items: Green cloak, satchel with water canteen and some coins.
Bio: She was a dancer for many years before 'retiring' to become a physician. She was in that job for a long time before she decided that she lost one too many ponies at her hooves thanks to the Winged Unicorns. She's outspoken and doesn't like sitting still. She won't hesitate to do something if it's what she wants to do.
It's hard to forget a past profession when you still act like you're in it. In Eirlys' case, her form and the way she moves still mimic that of a professional dancer. Of course the gentle grace is helpful when trying to patch up a frightened foal, but sometimes she just wishes she could stomp around without having to think about stomping around.
Eirlys shivered slightly in the cold, tucking her wings in even tighter under her green cloak. Hot food would really feel good right now. However, on her way to Amaryllis' cart, she noticed a hornless kirin [Art] doing... Well, something.
Curiousity killing, the white phoenix sidled up next to the intimidating mare. "What," she asked, eyes giving the kirin and once-over look, "are you doing?"
Dietrich meekly tried to answer Kali's torrent of questions as they came at him: "N-not at all, I'm not racist-- um, n-no, r-red is a f-fine color, I -- "
And then he gave up and shut his mouth, letting Kali talk until Hourglass spoke to him. He only looked at her for a brief second, then ducked his chin and let his gaze fall again.
"N..no, I uh, it's just.. w-when I talk to s-some ponies I g-get nervous and I..s..stutter," he began to reply when Kali made a calculated leap and landed squarely on his back. The WU blinked profusely and looked over his shoulder.
"Are um...you m-more comfortable now?"
Amaryllis' features brightened some more when a familiar, cheerful face approached asking about her culinary, um...delights.
"Well, lookie who's up!" she declared, smiling at Ulympia. "Hon, you can have some soup wheneva you want. Lawd knows, you make my job easiah."
And thus, she poured a generous bowl of soup for the eccentric little Fairy.
"Might wanna watch that lil' rascal. Yeah, he look cute from ova there, but I jes know he gonna try ta sneak inta my kitchin' latah."
Pleased with his accomplishment - and not taking notice of Capricorn's disgust- the Dragon backed up a couple paces and looked with his "good" eye up to the trees.
"We's gonna need more nuts," he said in a sudden, much more grave tone. "Fred to da rescue!"
And with that, he barreled away and took off as soon as he was in a clearing big enough for his wingspan, vanishing to the trees whence he came.
A voice laughed in Capricorn's head as Fred departed. Aurokhi was awake but remaining in the back seat, ever-watching from Capricorn's eyes.
//I thought for a moment I might have this body all to myself. Your brain shuts down entirely too easily, you know. //
(( For those not used to seeing these sentence patterns: //Hi!// it means that the spirit possessing Capricorn is speaking to him mentally and cannot be heard by other ponies. ))
Listening as Rose talked about the pinecones she couldn't help but smile as she noticed how alive she seemed while talking about the plants, it seems they really where a passion for her.
"That is quite interseting, the only thing I could think to do with them is maybe make a tea or what the the needles? I can't quite remember..." she trailled off as she tried to remember if it was the cone or the needles you used to make tea with.
Looking up toward Fred as he cooked the pinecones and then told Ghostie to try them as she looked around for the ponies until it dawned in her that she was Ghostie.
"Thank you Fred, Capricon." she said as she picked one of small mouthfull of seeds as they cruched under her beack as she swollowed it down. Her stomach starting to settle as she finially got eat something without meat.
"Hmm, these are quite good. You should all try them." she said as she looked up towards the others.
"I just think everyone is in a bit of a rush to get some food and warm up. Besides, why would you want to hide such lovely colors?"
Ducky nodded at Brigh's assessment. "Yah'd probably bah right about tha'. Bit chilly up 'ere. Ah, baht I ain't tryin' tah cover mah hide, it jus' gits tha' way. Job haz-ard 'nd all." Ducky grinned down at Brigh. "Speakin' of jobs, I's got one tah git tah. 'll bah leavin' yah tah eat." With that, Ducky trotted away from the food cart, squinting at the surrounding ponies once again.
Seeming to come to some decision, Ducky trotted over to stand next to Emrys. Staring off into the trees, she offhandedly started with "I hear yah burst intah flame." Pause. "....Do yah want tah trek through pony-high snow, blastin' winds, and a bum-chillin' blizzard tah explode things?"
((By the way, if anyone is wondering, I got the FiM Ducky from a pony maker. It was pretty cool, you could move them around and make your own poses and even insert hex codes. Also, >FiM Rekkapony<.))
(( You will all fear my Fu Manchu 'stache. :[ ))
Emrys sighed as Hourglass left him to go and find some more company. He was glad of the solitude to work on his notes, but some pony company was not exactly unwelcoming. He sighed again, pushing his notes away from him and resting his head on the floor. He wasn't feeling particulary good, in all honesty, perhaps he was feeling homesick, not that he had a home to feel homesick for. But he did miss his mother, letters didn't make a good subsitute for the real thing.
An ear swiveled and he looked up as Ducky spoke to him. "No, actually," he said. Trekking through the snow did not sound particualry inviting. "But your intentions are interesting. When do we leave?"

Rat noticed the admiring stare from Ulympia and preened, sticking his little nose in the air and flicking his tail attractively. (Well he thought it was.) But of course that evil Dragonmare was over there as well, so he remained where he was, and looked cute while the Fairymare ooed and aahed over him.
Capricorn's ears pricked forwards as Kalom thanked him. It wasn't often he got thanked. Then again, it wasn't often he did anything that wasn't entirely self-serving. He bobbed his head a little in acknowledgement of her thanks.
He was just lowering his head to try a few of the roasted pinenuts himself when Aurokhi spoke and his head jerked up again, a scowl crossing his features. Sometimes he forgot to speak silently back to Aurokhi, and this was one of those times.
"Shouldn't you be glad of that?" he muttered. "Afterall, you wouldn't be there at all if it wasn't for that... uh... habit."
He probably appeared a little mad, talking to the air like that, especially to those who were unaware of Aurokhi's presence, or who did not know the Demongod spoke to him at liesure.
"What are ye doin', silly filly?!"
"I'm trying to SEE!" The phoenix suddenly flailed with her tiny feathers, squawking like a little baby bird asking for food. Her feather tufted ears fall flat on her head as she gave a stern, yet foalish glare at the stripy unicorn. "D'ya know how much your neck hurts with all the looking up? Sides. I'm tiny and Dietrich doesn't mind. D'ya?" Kali asked, turning her attention to the stallion she had perched upon, and suddenly started rolling about, rubbing her tiny mass against the back of Dietrich in a loving manner, nuzzling about. "He has soft coat. Teehee. So fuzzy. Fuzzy wuzzy'n'soft. I'm quite comfy, thank you! You have saved my neck from hurting! And therefor, I love you!" The small ball of onyx and amethyst feathers hugged -or atleast, rather, plastered itself wide against Dietrich's back - the back of the stallion and smiled at him widely. "You are my bestest friend ever!"
When she had calmed down to look around, her curious, ever watching eyes caught the winged unicorn (Herainim)again. Just in time to notice the her angry glare.
"I think she needs friends," Kali said, thoughtfully, sitting up and pressing a hoof onto her chin. Thoughtfully, then waved ecstatically towards the red mare in dashing armor. "Hullo!" Hmm. Maybe she should courtsy. The mare does look royalty of sorts with her fancy armor. The waving hoof of Kali stopped as she pulled herself up, puffing her chest and fluffed her feathers, then bowed fancily. As fancily as a tiny pony could.
On Dietrich's back. He sure made a nice platform. Soft, fuzzy, warm, and tall! And strong! And..

Bio: Keaira appears to others as shy, easily frightened girl. She never knew her parents and was sent to become a dancer as soon as she could walk, this has made her very light on her hooves. She learn not to talk, especially to the imperials, to keep her self out of trouble. She secretly began to hate them and cursed them mentally. She somehow managed to escape her live as a dance and has opened up a bit now that she is with Zero but she still will not say a word in front of a wing-unicorn, unless it is to scream 'SNAKE!!!' and run away very quickly.
Keaira sat in the snow wings extended in meditation. She had her Katana presses closely to her right side and her Wakizashi closely to her keft side. On her chest rest her purple heart necklace. She could feel the cold of the metal be occasionally a pulse of heat from the power it held. She occasionally was tempted to call out the Deathserpent that rest within but she knew Zeref was only to be called in times of true need. She continued to focus on centering herself, memorizing the feeling of being completely focused, it was the only way to summon her magic. When she felt truly centered she took a deep breath and focused even closer on the wind currents under her stretched wings. She felt the pattern and tried to summon it around her wings, to shape the air blades. She hadn't been able to do it yet her magic power wasn't strong enough before, but she though now she might be able to do it. She started to shape the currents summoning the wind to form a blade on her wings, almost there. Slice! Her eyes opened wild as the pain of the wind slicing through her wings slipped in to her mind. Breaking her concentration. She began shaking her wing tip knowing her magic well enough to know the blood would begin to flow soon enough. Sure enough it did and she began dripping blood into the snow. Standing up she stuck the injured wing tip into the snow to stop the bleeding. The cut stung so much though, it killed, almost making her feel bad for those she injured but then again she didn't use her magic lightly. Ignoring the pain she tucked the cold wing to her side and walked over toward Amaryllis.
"Would you mind making me a small bowl of something hot?" Keaira said to the bright Dragon in a sweet voice. Shifting her position slightly she winced and felt a warm drop of blood drip down her flank from her tucked wing. "And might you know where i could grab something to wrap this cut?" She indicating to the slim slice along the tip of her wing. "Isn't too bad, but I'd rather not get an infection before the battle, you know?" She smiled to the dragon mare.
