Magic: Rank 4 Water- Cools Kaloms body and can form ice in her body and can cool area within two feet. She can also make a thin shield of ice around her within three feet of her body.
Physical Combat: Rank 4
Items: LSPP paladin necklace, Dragon Tooth necklace, black bag, naginata.
Profession(s): Soldier and Traveler.
Bio: A battle hardened pony, Kalom seems to be as cold and detacted as the very ice she uses at first glance but this is saddly not her true nature. She is simply a pony that has seen to many horrable things and is now trying to find something good in this world.
Brushing off the cold weathre around her Kalom looked up from her place in the snow next to one the fire places as the bright dragon pony (Amaryllis) called the camp for their meal, thankfully with out rat in it this time or at least that was what the dragon had said.
Shacking off the few flakes of snow that had landed in her dark body as the small bits of ice rattled against each other in her mane as the snow crunched under her hoofs before freezing again. Stepping up to the cart that the Amaryllis brought with her as she tried to get a good sniff of the 'dumpling soup', it certionally seemed like it was warm but she wasn't quite sure of what was in it, or if she even wanted to know.
"Well, I guess I should have a bowl then, better to have a full stomach then to go hungrey." she said to Amaryllis as she looked over the bowls of dumpling soup.
Items: A bag with a three apples in it, an enchanted flame dagger, a katana and wakizashi, leather armor (Necropolis).
Magic: Rank 2 Air (Used to help her dance in the air)
Physical Combat: Rank 1
Bio: A playful and energetic dancer Brigh has left her home to meet other ponies and see the world, and maybe if she is lucky pick up a few new dances.
Special Note: Brigh's flame dagger absorbs the energy of Aurokhi's minions on contact and makes all combat abilities stronger temporarily. It is currently unknown if its effect extends to other beings, and its true potential has yet to be unleashed.
Shivering in the cold as Brigh hold into what ever scraps of cloth she could as she sat as close to the small fire as possable as a cold wind came throw the camp as her dreadserpent laid close by to her. Oh how she hated the cold, she almost wish she was back into the cursed city, almost...
Hearing the call for food she rubbed her legs to warm them back up as she slowly stood up as she tired to take cover behind anything larger then her self as she tried to rub her sides with her hoofs as her flowerly headdress as partly frozen.
"Thiiiss willll waarrm meeee uuuppp?" Brigh asked Amaryllis as she shivvered while standing next to a dark phoenix pony that seemed to radiat cold.
All of Capricorn's words fell on deaf ears, as did those of Kalom and Brigh. The second Amaryllis saw Rat making a beeline for her leg, she literally fell over backward (mercifully AWAY from the food cart). Being a mare of a rotund nature, she found herself flailing comically in the snow, screaming "GIT YOUR LIL' OL' UGLY SELF OUTTA HERE!" whilst completely unable to right herself.
And then, after her moment of panic passed and realization that she needed to quiet down hit, the large mare went still. She blinked a few times, looking upside-down at the other ponies as she laid in the snow on her back.
"Any of ya mind lendin' me a hoof and a rollin' pin to squash that lil' beastie?"
"Herainim" Melody Blanchardd
Magic: rank 5; healing (Regeneration), minor twilight (illusion that makes her body color appear blue)
Physical Combat: rank 5
Profession: Serpent Knight
Items: What you see on her, katana
Bio: born into an Imperial family, her mother died giving birth leaving her father to raise her. Put on hard times by raising a child on his own he was forced into being a sort of servant or butler for the royal family. Melody hates that her father is so low, even as a winged unicorn, to do such demeaning tasks with such little pay. She has since run away to join Zero's cause and get back at the horrible WU's and her degraded father, changing her name to Herainim, wearing armor, and sometimes changing her body color as well. Herainim is currently one of Zero's higher ups.
Herainim was standing idly by, just watching things with a bored expression. She would give an occasional shiver, as the snow got in between her armor and flesh. The soldier was standing near the food, and Amaryllis, simply watching her dish out whatever it was that she called "food". It was true, and by now most of the other rebels probably knew that Herainim was from an Imperial family and so she was accustomed to a better way of living. Most notably she remembered the wonderful food and parties, suddenly missing them while standing in the cold mud with a bunch of ponies she hardly knew. The pang was soon replaced by a slight red glow to her eyes, as the mare shifted her weight and grabbed a plate of food in her wing and studied it.
Hera was skeptical, and as she bit the tiniest piece of food she could. The mare grimaced as she "chewed" and then swallowed. But then suddenly her eye shot open, and her green eyes had a new life to them. Her head slowly turned to look at Amaryllis, eyes still wide. "What. Did you put in this." Herainim took another bite and savored it this time. "I have never had such... not even the Imperials could... oooh yum!" The WU shoveled some more food onto her plate and her tail swished a little like a happy puppy. An odd sight, to see the usually blunt and self-loving mare so happy about something so simple.
Capricorn looked more than a little affronted. He dipped his head and picked Rat up by the tail, the creature dangling and flailing and squeaking all at once.
"Don' sthquath hi'," he said awkwardly around the tail. He set Rat on his back, nudging him back beneath the blue of the Reindeer's mane. "He's just hungry. And I assure you he's quite clean."
He glanced to both Kalom and Brigh nodding politely at them in greeting. At Brigh's question, he said;
"Usually it does help to warm up from the inside."
Then belatedly, he realised he should move to help Amaryllis up, though he made sure Rat was well out of her sight before he did lean down to nudge at her side, helping to push her right-ways up, hopefully.
Hourglass stifled the urge to laugh at the extravagant sight before her; a bright and somewhat plump dragonpony flailing uselessly for help. She bellowed for someone to provide her with a weapon of choice to clobber Rat in his beady-eyed rodent head, "Don' know if ye wanna be doin' tha', lass." Hourglass let out a chuckle at both Amaryllis' and Rat's expense, "He be a might bit o' a friend, ironically, to Goldilocks o'er thar." She hastily pointed with her nose to Capricorn as he attempted to help Amaryllis back onto her hooves. Being of a rather muscular build, Hourglass dipped over to the overturned dragoness and lent some strength to the cause alongside Capricorn.
Magic: Rank 1 Electricity; she senses and tries to but has no control yet. She tends to shock ponies who touch her or get too close without meaning to.
Physical Combat: Rank 1
Items: Her reading glasses and a simple neat bow in her tail. Some fruit in her satchel. A silky cape obtained in the Necropolis Crypt.
Familiars: A blue wisp that has possessed a mummified snake name Boslin; a Dreadserpent named Rhoden.
Bio: A very simple and shy pony, Rosemonde refuses to let anyone close to her. She is a very kind soul but at a tip of a hat can be the worst pony you meet. Her angry side is not one to mess with. She has the magic of Electricity but cannot yet control it, tending to shock others if they touch or even get close to her in the slightest. But when angered her body is swarmed by it though never controlled.
Rosemonde was tired cold and hungry. She continued wearing the cloak she had gotten where they had explored and her mummified snake was curled up in the hood with it's head on top of her own. With her tummy grumbling she over heard a Dragon mare (Amaryllis) calling about food. Her familiar Boslin was sending images of blues and white swirling through her head reminding her of the weather they were in which didn't make her any warmer.
Approaching the mare she had seen she was now on the ground caused by the reindeer Capricorn's pet rat whom she thought was fairly cute in a odd sort of way. "A-Anything I can help with?" Motioning towards the downed dragon (Amaryllis) before she got food.
Between Capricorn and Hourglass' efforts, Amaryllis was righted once more. The mare shook herself liberally, dislodging the snow from her body. She glared at Capricorn - or rather, at where Rat was hidden.
"Well that was more'n enough excitement for one servin'!" she said indignantly. To Rosemonde, she shook her head and replied "No, no, I'm good now. No thanks to Fancyfoot's pet, here."
The mare shook one wingclaw in Rat's direction, as if to admonish the small critter. "You keep yo filthy lil' paws offa my tray and outta my tent, and I'll think about forgettin' dis eva happened. Maybe I'll give him some extra just to keep ya outta my fur!"
With a snort, the Dragon turned back to her cart and observed Herainim enjoying herself. That was...different.
Amaryllis could not be more pleased.
Bad mood forgotten, the mare's tail thumped on the ground and she heaped another serving into Herainim's dish.
"Little o'dis, little o' that," she replied to Hera. "It's all 'bout inspiration and makin' use o' what you got."
Now much happier, the mare filled dishes (carefully adding an extra dumpling for Rat to Capricorn's soup) and extended them to the other ponies waiting for food.
(( I'm out for tonight. I may be rather delayed or slow to post tomorrow, since I have a friend visiting then, but I will still try to get in some posts. c: ))
Rank: Sixth Serpent Knight
Familiar: Risen Serpent Gabby
Bio: Born to some nameless foot soldier, Zemin was selected for the gladiator ring. He was raised, trained, and brainwashed into being a brutal and cruel champion. In the ring, Zemin was forced to kill his first and only friend. Something snapped inside him, and he escaped with a handful of slaves. He now fights with Zero to free others from the tyranny of the Imperials.
Zemin is amiable in nature and a cold blooded killer. He believes himself to be a monster. Because he feels as though he is beyond redemption, he is willing to carry out any order.
Zemin trotted his way through the snow with high stepping flare as he belatedly answered the call for dinner. He'd been busy polishing his horn, something he did often, and as a result it gleamed and flashed as his head bobbed. One might have mistaken Zemmy's attention to it as vanity unless one got an intimate feel of how sharp the kirin warrior kept his blade.
Sharp enough to split hairs.
He'd not been a part of the recent meeting, but he'd guessed that the explosives compiled in their camp had something to do with Zero's current plans. And boy, he couldn't wait. If it was dangerous, Zemmy liked it. If it was destructive, Zemmy adored it. And so, dynamite might legitimately be Zemmy's first and only love.
The warrior was used to fighting for his food, and so although he didn't knock into anyone while charging his way to the front, he didn't wait for anyone else to serve themselves before butting in and seizing a bowl of dumplings for himself. Scooting off, he set his dish down on a table and decimated his meal as if it was an enemy to be defeated.
Physical Combat: Rank 2
Magic: Rank 2 Fire; Ducky breathes small flames but she also tends to emit sparks when she's particularly excited or angry.
Professions: Rogue, Pyrotechnics and Explosions Expert, (Soldier)
Items: Saddlebags: well-worn, patched, re-patched, and slightly charred around all the edges. Embossed with a fancy crest that is unidentifiable, as it obscured by a cheery (and faded) patch of blue fabric with a motif of quacking ducks. Some firecrackers (Approved by Rekka), a blanket, a cloak, a day's worth of food, a water flask, and a rope. Phoenix feather ornament (in hair.) A gilded scale found in the Necropolis Crypt.
Familiars: A curious, somewhat hyper and apparently snuggly purple wisp and a Dreadserpent.
Bio: Ducky's background is a blast. Literally, at some points. So, go ahead, ask. She'd be happy to tell you ALL about it. Rebels - she likes explosives. It is possible she has demonstrated this fact in close proximity to you.
*(This pony does not actually come installed with a mustache.)
Ducky looked unusual, trotting around the camp and squinting at the various Rebels. This is in no part due to the fact that she was unnatural clean (for her.) Mud was slowly climbing her legs but otherwise she was free of her typical coating of soot. Ironically, this actually made her seem a bit more ragged. There were mats in her fur, the long part of her tail was tangling atrociously and the bald, scarred skin along the back of her shoulders stood out more in its mixture of black and grey.
Ducky shook herself, fluffing her fur against the cold as she made her way back around to the center of the camp. 'Who tah take, who tah take?' she mused. She blinked suddenly, her nose picking up the smell of FOOD. Her pace picked up until she was alongside the food cart, where she obtained a bowl. Growing up on the streets, she had little qualms with any food, as long it was warm and not overly spoiled.
As she ate, she looked speculatively around at the ponies in sight.
(Sleeping now. Sitting in a car for the entire day does not leave one conductive to late night RPing.)
"Thank you," Capricorn said as Hourglass, a mare Capricorn had previously had run ins with, helped him to lever the brightly coloured Dragon back to her hooves. He stepped back a little, nodding to her.
When Amaryllis gave him a bowl, complete with extra dumpling, he thanked her as well and moved away from the pot and the she-dragon manning it to set his bowl on a rock. He knew some ponies didn't like Rat and so he didn't sit at the table, since the second his bowl was down, Rat scurried down to sit beside it, waiting for his share.
He had good manners and waited until Capricorn carefully lifted the spare dumpling out and set it on the rock for Rat.
Then he began on his own dinner. Herainim was right. It was very, very good.
Watching as Capricorn got his pet rat back Brigh eyes seemed to brightened up as he said that the food would warm her up from the inside. Holding the cloth as closes to her side as she could as Amaryllis slowly got out of the snow as she talked about what she made into the soup.
Taking the bowl of soup when it was offered to her she sniffed it as steam of the soup came up into her face. Sipping the soup as it started to warm her up from the inside she tried to ignore the odd taste, "Hmmm this is alright." said Brigh as she looked up to Amaryllis as she nodded her thanks.
Turning around to return to her camp sit she bumped into a green painted unicorn with the most horrable matting of fur (Ducky). "Oh sorry, excuse me." said Brigh as she caught her bowl of soup and then offered a smile to the other pony.
Ok, so meditating didn't work when downing two servings of Amaryllis' food. He'd managed to eat half of it, but the rest was still sat in his bowl. He looked over at Sililos, who was sat in front of him. "You want it?" he asked the compy, pushing the bowl towards him. But Sililos just turned his nose up at it. "Hmph. You certainly got smarter after having that wisp take over," Emrys mumbled. Part of him almost wanted Sililos to be normal again. Almost.
He sighed and left the bowl where it was, pulling out his notebook again. He pulled his cloak around him a little tigher to keep the cold off him, he was not at all happy about having to camp out in this wilderness. He didn't do well in the cold at the best of times, and this place was even worse. But he kept his complaints to himself the best he could. Zero had been good to him and it would not be wise to seem ungrateful.

With a nod towards the dragon (Amaryllis) after she had gotten back up with the help of capricorn and hourglass when she did her mummified companion Boslin almost fell off her head. /Hey! Haha, ou almost made me fall!/ anyone including herself would only hear hissing though Rosemonde herself got splats of red images in her head for a few short seconds. She got used to these to the point they didn't faze her anymore but she didn't quite understand.
"fooooooddssssss" Boslin said outloud to no one in particular. I was a word Rosemonde had taught him though he still didn't know the meaning it was only a lable for whatever the ponies happened to put in their mouth. "Good!" she replied to her companion "yes food!" with that she moved forward and scooped herself a bowl. Almost running into Ducky she made a face then quickly whiped it clean. "excuse me" was all she stated and walked away to go sit at a table.
"Ah! T-there you g-go, th..that was q-quite an impressive l-leap."
Kali was saved! Her head popped out of the snow as the colossal - to her standards, Dietrich was a mountain on his own- winged unicorn pulled her out. It took her a few seconds to get rid of the snow, along with the help of the stallion, and then she promptly leaped onto her hooves and attempted to wrap her front hooves and small wings around Dietrich's front leg. "Hiiiii!" She squeaked with a wide, toothy grin. She was no longer bored, nope, not at all! Dietrich was here, and she could just snuggle up into a ball on his back or sit on his head like a hat. A fashionable hat. Kali was sure she'd make an amazing, onyx feathered hat. She gave a stern nod to herself. Yup.
"It was supposed to be a glide but I sort of forgot the snow," she explained herself, her tail flailed from side to side, much like a little puppy's when they were happy. "But I missed you! You don't know what I've been through, but now it's all better because you're here along with.." she halted her words, and looked around the snow draped camping ground. "With a herd of other ponies. OOoooooOOOooh!" She stuck a hoof, pointing towards a red winged unicorn mare, who had the most DASHING armor(Herainim).
Now THAT was a mare! She looked quite strong and her armor was so cool! Now, Kali loved armor of all kinds. She wished someday she'd have her own armor and be all heroic and stuff, or maybe some dark robes, robes of evilness or something, with a long staff she'd carry around and yell YOU. SHALL NOT. PASS!
All things aside, there were some pretty mares, like that stripy unicorn(Hourglass) and that pale kirin mare with blood red scales(Art). There were few more, along with a younger looking filly(Emrys) who was conversing with the retina blindingly colored Dragon mare. Atleast, she thought that filly was a filly. Kali couldn't be sure, really. Maybe she was a skinny, dainty, model type stallion instead. Which reminded her..
Kali turned her amethyst eyes up towards Dietrich. "Do you have a marefriend?"
This was a totally normal question.
Herainim nodded a quick thank you to Amaryllis as she piled more dumplings and soup on her plate. And wow, she made Amaryllis smile? Herainim never made other ponies happy. Then again the mare was never that happy herself. Well now she was, with this delicious food.
Then Hera noticed a small phoenix looking at her (Kali). The red WU blinked for a moment, and stopped chewing, eyes still wide. Why was this young thing STARING at her? Did she look funny or something? Did this little punk think she was better than Hera? Well that was impossible, Herainim was a WU. Hera narrowed her eyes for a second and made a face at Kali, sticking her tongue out. No mare would make a fool out of Melody Blanchardd! Err, Herainim.
((You saw no~thing...))
So apparently rats had more sense than rabbits and squirrels, if they'd been able to stay out of Amaryllis' questionable culinary arts. Well, he'd eaten worse back in the day.
Akira made space for other ponies to get some food, looking for all the world as though he were supervising. In reality, he was just waiting to see if Angelwings was going to come for some eats. He was nothing if not persistant.
Capricorn came up for some food, with the reindeer's constant companion, Rat. While the reindeer stag and the dragonmare bantered, Akira kept his eyes on the rodent. While Amaryllis had claimed there were no rats in the soup, that might not stay true for long. Sure enough, Rat made for Amaryllis and the dragonmare turned herself upside down in an attempt to avoid the rat.
Really, considering what no doubt went in to her food, it was surprising how averse she was to Rat's presence. But the moment passed and Akira helped himself to a bowl before looking around and spotting...
"Zemmy!" Akira slid into a seat next to the kirin. "You missed all the action. Amaryllis was ambushed by a sneaky little adversary. We've already gotten past the combat and terms of surrender. I imagine they'll be signing a peace agreement soon." Akira took a bite of his food, careful not to consider what he'd just put in his body. "How's your day been? Any excitement? Any developments between you and the highly enthusiastic Ducky over there?" The golden phoenix motioned his wing in Ducky's direction.
Hourglass only had the time to toss a gaze of agreement to Capricorn when he nodded at her, for her attention was nabbed by a rather spastic phoenixpony (Kali) that was fawning over Herainim as if she was the 8th wonder of the world. Hourglass thought she also heard the phoenix promptly ask Dietrich if he was taken.
Hurriedly, trying to get away from the quiet spectacle, Hourglass took some dumpling soup and isolated herself, eating heartily and with that familiar pirate vigor. As much as she could, she tried to avoid splashing soup onto her precious leather sleeves.
Looking up from her strenuous amount of eating, she saw Emrys in a bit of a tussle with his little lizard creature, which Hourglass still wasn't sure was. She picked up her now half-empty bowl and decided to make something out of this day. Emrys usually had his nose down in notes, and the hardy pony was sure his feather-scribbly-doohickey wasn't far away. She couldn't bother herself with fancy terminology, she hardly even knew how to write her own name.
"Aye, scrawnyboy." Hourglass announced her presence as only she would, " 'Ow's th' lizzy?" She gestured to Sililos, who still seemed to be under the influence of the wisp.
Looking out from the food cart, Ducky did not see the fairy (Brigh) until the mare bumped into her. She juggled a moment with her mostly empty bowl, before turning to answer the fairy's apology. " 'S nothin', jus' don' be fallin' 'nd breakin' yahself," she said, returning the mare's smile with a grin of her own.
Then Rosemonde popped out of nowhere, almost bumping into her too. She called after the mare, " 'S okay, Sparks, mah fur wouldn't of minded a liddle fluffin'!"
Ducky set up her empty bowl on the cart, looking down to the fairy mare again (Brigh). "Maybe, I shouldn' wash off mah soot tah of'en. Seems tah make meh less ob-vious-like," she joked.
Emrys looked up at the familiar sound of Hourglass' thick accent. "Oh, hello Ms. Hourglass," he said. He had kept himself rather secluded in the recent time to concentrate on his notes so the company was welcome. "Oh, Sililos? He's doing ok, I suppose. He's a changed since the wisp took over but it's for the better."

"There's probably lots of us that are the same, that's why we're all here, right?"
"Yes, yes that's very true Aharon," Rose sighed wistfully, tracing a hoof in the snow idly. Oh, for a bit of greenery! And flowers, oh, flowers would be perfect to improve her mood.
"But, I trust Mr. Zero, he hasn't let us down yet and he knows what he's doing, so I guess that's why I don't as nervous."
"You know, you have the brightest outlook of anyone I've ever encountered Aharon. I'm glad that I met you," she glanced back at her soup and took a few more mouthfuls. She tilted her head to the side and then looked back at her wishie friend. "Well, at least we'll be well fed before anything starts," those herbs of Amaryllis's seemed to be taking some effect. She felt less tense than before but still her worry remained. Why did she have a feeling of untold dread welling up inside her? Rose shivered and tried to put it off to being cold.
"Well, considering everything I've been through, this is pretty good in comparison," said Aharon. He slurped the rest of his soup and drained his bowl. Although that would be the last time he'd do it. His wisp friend bobbed around his head, seemingly becoming impatient for Aharon to start dancing again.
Smiling as the unicorn (Ducky) joked about her bumping into her only to see red and black unicorn (Rosemonde) bump into the same mare she had bumped into. It seemed everyone was trying to get over by the food cart so they could get a bit to eat. Holding the cloth close to her side as she tried to step out of the way of other poneis getting food as Ducky mentioned that maybe she shouldn't have cleaned her coat off.
Horrivided that someone would want to be covered in soot she shock her head no as she said to Ducky, "Oh no, I don't think it because you off the soot. I just think everyone is in a bit of a rush to get some food and warm up. Besides, why would you want to hide such lovely colors?"
Getting a bowl of soap for Amaryllis Kalom rased the bowl as she said a little prayer for stranche before she downed the whole bowl of soup before it could cool in her hoofs. Returning the bowl to Amaryllis with a thanks she looked around the camp as she felt her stomach roll and the taste of a meat brooth in her mouth. Letting out a sigh she looked up towards the heavens as she face slowly started to loss some of its color, figures this would happen, she hadn't eatten one meal in this island that hadn't upset her stomach in some way.
Walking slowly toward her tent as her stomach protested she came across Aharon and Rose as the spoke as her ears stood up as Aharon said,
"Well, considering everything I've been through, this is pretty good in comparison."
"What is one way to look at it. Things could be a lot worse then camping out here, thought I would admit I would love some breed or nuts right now." said a pale faced Kalom to the pair.
"For the better, aye?" Hourglass glanced at the compy, "I wudn't 'ave wanted tha' wisp t' stay in me 'ead." She shuddered, recalling the memories she saw when that flicker of red entered her mind. Thankfully, unlike in Sililos' case, it didn't stay. "Wonder where 'e is?" She looked into the little creature's eyes, seeking some sort of answer.
"Well, animals don't have the same sort of mind as we do, it probably doesn't have the same effect as it does on us," said Emrys as he turned back to his notes. He remembered when the volitile wisps had attacked them, he hadn't felt the same as Hourglass had, but he knew it hadn't been nice. "I don't think it's doing him any harm. Its making him a little smarter, at any rate."

As the dark nixie mare passed by them, Rose Blood looked up at her upon her comment. She found herself nodding, those herbs seemed a lot more effective than she had previously thought. "Yes, if could be a lot worse," she agreed and then smiled slightly as Kalom added a secondary thought. "I must say some bread and nuts would be a marvellous treat right now. I used to grow some nut trees on a small plot of land my parents 'claimed' to of owned," she sighed deeply. "Goodness knows if that little orchard is still there though, I loved those trees. I used to grow roses around them, they looked beautiful all year round," she sighed wistfully.
Rose looked back up at Kalom, "did you ever have a sanctuary like that somewhere? Somewhere where you could just be alone with your thoughts?"
Aharon looked up at Kalom as she joined in their little conversation. Bread and nuts did sound rather good right now. He hadn't had anything decent to eat since he had been a little foal. Some roasted nuts would go down well in this cold weather right now. And some tickly buttered toast. Mmmmm.
He dropped out of his little food fantasy as Rose Blood began talking about a little place she used to have. "It sounds lovely," he said, "You were lucky to have a place like that."
That little Nixie mare sure knew how to talk. Dietrich would've been overwhelmed, but her enthusiasm was so infectious that he found himself grinning stupidly in return.
At least, until the words "Do you have a marefriend?" left her mouth in what seemed like slow motion. Then his stomach felt like it dropped to his hooves.
The big stallion looked like a one-eyed deer in the headlights.
"I. Um. T-that is, uh... um.. I'm n-not very g-good with m-mares...so.. uh.. um.."
Yep, that was about the best excuse he could come up with. The fur around his cheeks darkened considerably and he idly drew circles in the snow, looking everywhere but directly at Kali.
Meanwhile, Rose Blood and co had their nice conversation partially interrupted. There was a rustling in the branches of the trees above them, quickly followed by whoosh, a great thud, and a small explosion of snow.
Magic: Rank 4 Ethereal; but no one really knows what it is... even Fred. He appears to have supernatural senses to compensate for his, ah, lack of intelligence, but their precise nature is unknown.
Physical Combat: Rank 4. BELIEVE IT.
Bio: Although Fred is a little (ok, a lot) unusual, he is a trusted member of Captain Calder's crew... or at least, what remains of it. Formerly the official watcher of the crow's nest, Fred was a surprisingly efficient alarm system in spite of his mental shortcomings. He appears to be very sensitive to all things supernatural, but lacks the capacity to be threatening... or does he?
Also, he is convinced Emrys is a girl.
"Somebody say nuts?" Fred asked. "People say Fred is nuts. Fred thinks that silly. Fred is Fred, nuts is nuts!"
The dim dragon grinned broadly, then held out a piece of overturned armor that held a pile of pinecones.
"Fred got nuts for you! Just takes bit of roastin', then make good numnums."
